Omar Sosa and Seckou Keita with Gustavo Ovalles – Québec Tour

For more than 20 years now, Omar Sosa – Cuban composer and pianist and seven-time Grammy nominee – is constantly expanding his exciting discography. Transparent Water, released in 2017, is further testimony to his ongoing quest for new artistic directions, innovative combinations, and freedom. To present this fascinating opus, Sosa will be accompanied by Senegalese singer and kora player Seckou Keita, who is among the greats of his generation, and phenomenal Venezuelan percussionist Gustavo Ovalles, who works magic with hollowed bamboo and maracas. This trio of world citizen musicians delivers delightfully enigmatic music with fine arrangements that brilliantly blend jazz, urban music, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
