Sultans of String: Christmas Caravan at Flato Markham Theatre

Celebrate the season with an adventurous musical trip around the world. Canadian band Sultans of String keep imaginative imperatives in overdrive with a festive pitch for global unity through the music of Christmas. These three-time JUNO nominees deliver an exuberant performance of original compositions, jubilantly recharged classics, and seasonal favourites.

Fiery violin dances with rumba-flamenco guitar meet acoustic strings meet electronic wizardry to create layers and depths of sound and rhythm that excite audiences to their feet with the irresistible need to dance. The band is joined on stage by award winning artists including singer-songwriter Amanda Martinez, singer-songwriter Rebecca Campbell, guitarist Donné Roberts, and multi-instrumentalist Ken Whiteley.
Sultans of String are fundraising partners with UNHCR, the United Nations Agency for Refugees in Canada. They are the world’s leading organization aiding and protecting people forced to flee their homes due to violence, conflict and persecution.
