Yaíma Sáez y su Grupo in Concert at Flato Markham Theatre

Yaíma Sáez’s music provides a fresh and unique contemporary perspective, descending all musical genres, while paying homage to her indigenous Cuban roots. She performs in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, being able to switch from Bolero to Blues with ease. With her powerful, velvety voice, this contralto is counted among a long line of female vocalists in the styles of bolero, filin, canción, son, and the most authentic Cuba popular music. Some compare her to Elena Burke and Omara Portuondo for her sober style and remarkable interpretive strength. Yaíma effortlessly crosses genres, showing her love for the classics while continuing to shine like a jewel of our times.
